The purpose of the notice is to inform you that MSMS is currently executing an internal lockdown drill. An internal lockdown is when there is a threat inside of the building. If this was a real emergency, you would be notified of the emergency via parent email and text through our School Messenger program.
Today’s internal lockdown drill is being monitored by the Norton Shores Police Department, along with other community resources. All procedures have been endorsed by the Michigan State Police and NSPD.
We appreciate the continued support as we continue to prepare and educate our students and staff on all safety protocols here at MSMS.

Our MSMS Alegrettos have been hard at work rehearsing for their performances of Into the Woods, Jr on January 30, 31, and February 1! Tickets go on sale to the general public on January 24. Make sure to watch our page for the link to purchase tickets ahead of time!

Exciting times! Both MSMS Robotics teams are 3-1 after day one of qualifying rounds of the State Championship. Outstanding start for them! So cool that the State Championship is being held here in Muskegon at Trinity Health Arena. It's FREE to attend - Go cheer them on tomorrow!

Last week we ended the trimester with some Ride With Pride prize giveaways! Students were eligible for the drawings if they signed and upheld the conditions of the Ride With Pride pledge. Thank you to Cindy Jurkas and NSPD for your dedication to the Ride With Pride program!
Students got to shop at the school store with their pride passes on Friday and today! Lots of cool things in the store for students from candy to apparel to front-of-the-lunch-line passes and more! Sending a huge thank you to our Parent CREW and PBIS team for making this happen!

2. We are very much looking forward to our first Sailor Celebration of the year on Friday, November 22 from 5:00-6:30. The theme will be Winter Olympics and will include some Olympic themed games as well as our usual, karaoke, dancing, basketball, video game room and a craft. Dress is casual, but feel free to dress to the theme! Tickets will be on sale during lunch at school starting Wednesday November 20th for $4 but jump to $5 at the door.
