Last week, students from MSMS (Student Congress, 4 CREWS, and Peer to Peer) brought the Red Glasses Movement to all four of our elementary schools! They prepared lessons, created activities, and shared the message of "Live Bold. Love Big. Pass It On." What an amazing experience for all of our Sailors! Watch for a video coming out later, highlighted our full Month of Caring, as well as our elementary visits.

MONTH OF CARING || We are committed to and will continue to support The Red Glasses Movement. As you may recall, The Red Glasses Movement was started in honor of a very special 5-year old girl, Audrey Jandernoa, who passed away in 2018. Audrey was born with Down syndrome and a congenital heart defect, but these were not things that defined her. Audrey was defined by her bright Red Glasses, her contagious smile, and her lack of inhibitions. She went through life like a little bulldozer, pushing her way through every door possible to achieve her goals again and again. She had a way of loving indiscriminately and without restrictions. She was a shining example of love, kindness, and courage in this world. For more The Red Glasses Movement, you can watch this VIDEO LINK to learn more. THIS WEEK: || PASS IT ON *COIN WAR WINNERS -- These winning CREWs will be visiting all 4 of our local elementary buildings and sharing the message and impact of the The Red Glasses Movement with the 3rd through 5th grade classrooms. They will be delivering a 20 minute lesson that will share the message, challenge their own impact, and provide a positive, healthy experience for our students. *IMPACT WEEK -- MONDAY >> Card Making & Poster Competition Launch TUESDAY >> Positive Locker Notes WEDNESDAY >> Appreciation Day THURSDAY >> RED GLASSES Design Day & Poster Judging FRIDAY >> WORLD KINDNESS DAY
