Below you will find the 3rd Trimester Exam Schedule. As you approach the final full week of school we wish you all the best as you complete your course requirements and prepare for the final exams. Please reach out to your teachers, counselors or administrators if you are in need of assistance. The extended day after school support is available. WIN time is also a great opportunity to stay current with your courses as well as make up work and prepare for final exams.

Please be aware that the parent portal, which includes email notifications, will be shut down June 13th for staff to finalize grades.  We have suggested to students to check their grades over the next couple days.  The target date to open the portal back up is by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23.  The portal will then be open until the end of July.

We have a number of teams and individuals still competing in MHSAA state tournaments this weekend, many of which we will host.  Take a look at the information below in order to see how you can support our student-athletes.

Friday, June 2nd

The regional-champion boys lacrosse team will travel to Parker Middle School in Howell for a state quarterfinal matchup against the defending champion in division one, Hartland High School.  The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm and will be covered by the Sailor Nation Sports Network on the NFHS feed linked below.  If you plan to make the trip, tickets are online-only for all MHSAA tournament contests.

Saturday, June 3rd

Both baseball and softball will host the MHSAA district at Mona Shores High School.  The softball team will take on Kenowa Hills at 10:00 am and the baseball team will play Muskegon at noon.  Should they win, district championship games for both teams will be at 2:00 pm.

Our boys track team will be represented at the MHSAA state championship meet at Rockford High School.  O'Mari Hall-Brown will compete in the 100 meter dash beginning at 10:00 am.  He will be joined by Jaylen Vinton, Antonio Lewis, and Coryontae Bothwell in the 4x100 meter relay, which will take place at roughly 2:00.  The event will be livestreamed on the NFHS Network.

Good luck Sailors! 

Mona Shores HS Jazz 1 will be performing 12-1 pm on Sunday, June 4th at the Calder Stage in Grand Rapids for Festival of the Arts.  The festival is free and open to anyone. Please come support our swingin‘ Sailors!!

PLEASE NOTE:

  • No cost to current and pre-registered students of Mona Shores schools for Credit Recovery & Credit Enhancement courses

  • Session I is 11 days.

  • Session II is 9 days.  

  • Speech will be offered in both Session I and Session II, running 9 days for each.  

    • Session I: June 20 - 30

    • Session II: July 10 - 20

  • Class Time is 8:00am - 1:00pm  (Except Opening Day, June 20th: 9:30am - 2:30pm)

Extended Day Program:

Monday - Thursday after school until 3:45 pm. Teachers and NHS tutors are available for support. Location is the HS Library Media Center. A great opportunity to work on collaborative projects, stay engaged in your learning and achieve your goals.

Mental Health resources for families:

  • MS. Taylor Jones, Fresh Coast Counseling Clinician is available for students at MSHS. Taylor is a graduate of Grand Valley State University and is a licensed Social Worker. Taylor will be available for students and staff to provide therapeutic support during the school day. As well as, provide monthly mental health strategies and activities for students, staff and families.
