Mona Shores 7th Grade White ran past Zeeland Creekside, 36-11, on Thursday at Mona Shores Middle School. Leading 9-4, Mona Shores went on an 11-point run to start the second quarter to push their lead to 26-6 at halftime.The Sailors shot well from distance, going 2-4 from three. Laila Burrel hit two threes for Mona Shores and led all scorers with 17 points. Kendall Hinshaw, Claire Soyers, and Meaghan Rourke had 4 points each, and Zoe Coles, London Jackson, and Cam Broersma each scored 2 points, while Hailee Nummerdor chipped in 1 point. Meaghan Rourke led the team with six of the teams 21 steals. The team goes into break with a 6-0 record.
