Our first Sailor Celebration is this Friday, November 21st from 5:00- 6:30. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday during lunch in the cafeteria and are $4 before the dance and $5 at the door. 6th graders, please enter through the East doors connected to the cafeteria by the tennis courts, 7th and 8th graders, use the front doors.

The 7th-grade Blue team beat Grand Haven last night 42-13.  Landon Love led the Sailors with 9 points, Connor Muskivin with 8, and Leo Kinziger with 6..  Also scoring for the Sailors were Karter Brown, Colby Hamilton, Cody Volkmann, Zeke Carpenter, TJ Buckley, Case Beckstrom, and Zahyr Correa. Nolan Ross had a great game defensively.  The Sailors play there 4th straight road game today when they travel to East Rockford.

8th grade a team results 45 - 40

Great defensive team effort to capture the win and up our record to 3-1. Big win over an undefeated Grand Haven team to run our win streak to 3 games. Ari Lashley played a well rounded game with 15 pts, 7 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 assists. His 8-12 free throw shooting made a big difference in the outcome of the game. Kaleb Loudermill led the team with a great defensive effort and 11 total rebounds. Tatum Roomsburg was a force inside with 6 rebounds as well. Cooper Gawkowski was a perfect 2-2 from 3 point range, chipping in an efficiency 8 points. Kai Munson did a great job as a solid presence on the floor with 2 rebounds and 2 steals. He had a key steal late in the 4th quarter to help seal the win. We have a big game Wednesday at Muskegon, and with a win can stay on top of the league standings.

Mona Shores 7th grade white basketball beat Grand Haven yesterday 50-26 moving their record to 3 and 1. Leading the way for Shores was Trey Knight with 19 points 8 rebounds 5 steals and 3 blocks. Chipping in with 9 points 3 rebounds and 3 assists was Tyler Recknagel. Preston Adams helped on the defensive end with 5 steals. Shores has a big game on Wednesday at Muskegon. If you can, come support. 

The 8th Grade Blue basketball team suffered a loss to Grand Haven 39-48.  The Sailors were led by Charlie S. with 11 points, Jaden S. with 10 and Jace T. with 7, respectively.  The team heads to Rockford tomorrow and plays at home for the first time on Wednesday.
