You’re invited to join your child at a free farmers market event for Lincoln Park Elementary this May! The market will give students convenient access to nutritious, locally sourced foods while offering a fun and educational experience highlighting the importance of healthy eating.
The kid-friendly farmers market will take place on Friday May 15th during your student’s lunch recess time outside on the playground (weather permitting; in cafeteria lobby if raining). Students will be given tickets to “shop” the farmer’s market choosing from a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. Below is the list of lunch recess times by grade:
5th: 11:20-11:40
K: 11:40-12:00
4th: 12:00-12:20
2nd: 12:20-12:40
1st: 12:40-1:00
3rd: 1:00-1:20
Please arrive about 10 minutes before your child’s scheduled lunch and come into the building through Door #9. You then can meet your child in the cafeteria prior to shopping at the market. If you cannot attend, be prepared that produce will be coming home with your child!
