With Spring Break approaching, we hope you have an amazing week of extra time with your family. When we return on Monday, April 13, we will be gearing up for the rush that the end of the year brings.

Spring Break:
Thursday, April 2 - Half day with 11:45 Dismissal
Friday, April 3 - Sunday, April 12 - Spring Break
Monday, April 13 - School resumes with 2:00 dismissal
Good News:
Today, we celebrated positive behaviors in the month of March with our monthly CREW assembly. Students were recognized for their efforts in being respectful, responsible, ready to learn, and safe.
March CREW Reward Day is Thursday, April 2nd. All CREW members are invited to participate in 50’s Day by wearing their 50’s gear from the recent PTO events and will participate in a 50’s style Soc Hop at school with their buddy class.
Lincoln Park Playground:
LP playground is closed before and during school hours for visitors for safety reasons.
As a reminder, LP playground is reserved for Sailor Care students after school until 6PM.

March is Reading Month:
We have had a fabulous month celebrating reading and partnering with all of you to promote family engagement throughout the month.
Thank you for your efforts in completing Bingo Cards each week. Students have earned fun reading related prizes throughout the month for their involvement.
Literacy Night is tonight, Friday, March 27, from 6 - 7:30. Bring your child’s completed book report and see what the other students completed this month. In addition, you can make purchases at a Scholastic Book Fair, have free snacks, enjoy a reading performance, play games, and experience some hands-on fun!
MSTEP:
Michigan achievement testing (MSTEP) is around the corner for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. Please watch for communication from your student’s teacher regarding specific dates and times of testing this April and May.
Kindergarten Registration:
If you have a child that will be 5 years old on or before September 1, it is time to begin preparing for your child's first day of Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year! Please complete the online registration form at monashores.net/student enrollment/ and bring the required documents to your elementary building to complete the process.
PTO News:
Please join our PTO for the next meeting on Tuesday, April 14, at 6:00 PM in the library. If you are unable to attend the meeting, but are interested in giving input or helping out, please contact our PTO: lincolnparkptocrew@gmail.com
STEAM Along the Lakeshore:
When: Saturday, May 2, 2026. 10 am – 2 pm.
STEAM Along the Lakeshore offers a day of interactive and educational activities at various locations in Muskegon. Participants will embark on a journey through these venues, engaging in different STEAM activities tailored for all ages. Great Future STEAM Career Connections will be made throughout the event
The first 750 student participants will receive exclusive STEAM swag bags containing a take-home STEAM activity kit, a commemorative t-shirt, and a passport to collect stamps for completing activities at each location.
