Good News:
Today, we celebrated positive behaviors in our monthly CREW assembly. Students were recognized for their positive behaviors in and out of the classroom. All students had extra gym time today as a celebration. Many other classrooms were able to “level up” their rewards today.

Parent/Teacher Conferences:
Our spring opportunity for teacher/parent conferences is quickly approaching. Teachers will be sending out individual sign ups today, Friday, February 27. Be on the lookout for this communication from your student’s teacher and sign up right away. 100% participation is our expectation.
March is Reading Month:.
Today, we kicked off March is Reading Month! Our theme for the month is “Reading Rocks!” We are eager to celebrate reading all month long. A packet will be coming home with your student today explaining all of the details for the month. Here are some brief highlights:
Bingo cards with nightly reading activities will be sent home each week and can be returned to your student’s teacher for a chance to win a reading-related prize.
Be sure to share pictures of your child participating in these reading activities with your child’s teacher so their pictures can be shared in the all-school slideshow throughout the month.
Students will be invited to complete a book report on a book of their choosing as a family engagement activity. These projects will be showcased at Family Literacy Night. Also, students who complete a project will be entered to win a wonderful reading chair.
Family Literacy night will take place on Friday, March 27th, from 6-7:30. Join us for a night to celebrate our readers and shop at the Scholastic Book Fair. All students in attendance will be entered to win other reading prizes throughout the night.

If your child is ill, please refer to the attached document when making the decision on whether to send your student to school or keep them home.
