Happy Friday Lincoln Park Families,
As this is the final parent newsletter of the school year, I would like to take the time to thank you for your hard work and support this school year. We feel honored to spend each day helping your students grow into the best CREW members possible. We appreciate each of you for all of the time and assistance you provided this school year. We couldn’t do our jobs without you!
Please take a moment to thank your teachers for completing a very successful year. Every day of the 24-25 school year was a great day to be a Sailor because of the amazing educators and students who we are lucky enough to call our CREW.

Good News:
We have completed two weeks of Mileage Club, in partnership with our PTO. Students earned “toe tags” as they completed laps around our playground. Students completed an astounding 5,860 laps. With 4 laps equating to roughly 1 mile, our students collectively totaled 1,456 miles - roughly the distance from Lincoln Park to Miami, Florida! Highly motivated students received popsicles and many special gold stars on their walk-a-thon lanyard. Additionally, those with the top mileage earned a free book vending machine token.
Upcoming Next Week:
Monday, June 9: Field Day - Our fifth graders are busy planning for the events for our K-4 grade students to enjoy. Please send students with water bottles and dressed to be outside and active all day. Feel free to join us! All are welcome!
Tuesday, June 10: Field Day Rain Date
Tuesday, June 10: Step Up Day - For about 30 minutes, each CREW member will meet the teachers and learn about the highlights for their upcoming grade level. We hope this first look and introduction will ease worries about transitioning to a new grade next school year.

Office Hours for the week of June 16 are as follows:
Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday: 8 AM – 3 PM
Thursday: CLOSED in observance of Juneteenth
Friday: 8 AM – 12PM
After that, the office will be closed for summer. Messages, both phone and email, will not be checked regularly. The office re-opens on August 12 for the 2025-2026 school year. The administration offices are open throughout the summer if you have questions that need addressed through the summer months.
Opportunities for Summer:
Mona Shores offers many Enrichment Camps and Activities to help fill your child’s days with purpose this summer. Check out the offerings found on our website - https://www.monashores.net/page/enrichment-camps-and-activities
Research proves that students lose precious learning over the summer if they don’t keep their academic skills active. Most students will be bringing home activities and suggestions from their classroom teacher. We have compiled a list of activities by the grade your child is finishing up: Kindergarten, First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth
5th Grade Completion Reminders:
Friday, June 13.
Doors open at 8:45. Please enter using Door #9.
Due to parent pick up, please refrain from parking in the pick up loop until 8:35.
Ceremony begins at 9 and will last approximately one hour, with refreshments, gifts, and time for pictures at the conclusion.
While 5th grade students will be dismissed as they finish this special event, we ask that parents allow younger siblings to remain with their classes and enjoy the final day of school with their classmates.
We wish our graduating fifth graders and their families all the best as they move on to Middle School. We can’t wait to see all they achieve in their bright Sailor futures!
Have a great summer!
Shari Ralston and the Lincoln Park CREW
