The walk-out distance for all schools is 1.5 miles. Students must be at their assigned bus stop at least five minutes prior to the scheduled arrival time of the bus. Drivers cannot wait for students who are tardy.
Bus routes will be posted at all school buildings and on the district's website approximately one week prior to the start of school. Parents of special needs students will be contacted by the school bus driver prior to the start of school with pick up and drop off times.
The Transportation Department can be reached at 332-8269 or 332-8270.
Due to the high number of students eligible to ride the buses, School of Choice Students will not be allowed to ride the buses during the first two weeks of school to ensure there is adequate seating available for eligible students. At the end of the second week, you may contact the Transportation Dept. to see if there is room for your school of choice student to go to an existing bus stop to ride the bus. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Student Rider Responsibilities during Phase 4:
- Face masks must be worn at all times
- Hands sanitizer must be used
- Students must load from the back to the front.
- Siblings must sit together.
