Food Service

The Mona Shores Public School Food Service Program will be up and running in all buildings beginning the first day of school.

Breakfast and lunch prices are as follows:

Breakfast (all buildings) $1.85 per day/$9.25 per week

Breakfast (reduced price) 30¢ per day/$1.50 per week

Lunch (elementary) $2.55 per day/$12.75 per week

Lunch (secondary) $2.80 per day/$14.00 per week

Lunch (reduced price) 40¢ per day/$2.00 per week

Milk (all buildings) 45¢ per day

A Free and Reduced Price Schools Meals Family Application must be filled out each year. Students will remain at the free, reduced or full pay status they were on at the end of school in June, until a new application is filled out or September 30th, whichever comes first. This allows time to process the applications. On September 30th, students that have not completed a new application will be returned to full pay status. Free and Reduced Price School Meals Family Application Forms will be sent home prior to or on the first day of school, or you may print off a copy from the school website, www.monashores.net under the School Operations Department. ONLY ONE COMPLETED FORM IS REQUIRED PER FAMILY. Please be sure to list ALL members living in the household.

Debit System Speeds Lunch Lines!

Parents deposit money into their student's account, the student goes through the lunch line, their student i.d. card is scanned and the price of the lunch is deducted from the student's account. Prepays may be made prior to the beginning of the school year by depositing them at offices in the individual buildings. This is highly recommended to avoid the "rush" at the beginning of the year, and to ensure that there is money in your student's account so they will be able to eat breakfast and/or lunch.

To make a deposit to your student's lunch account, please send your deposit in an envelope with your student's name, I.D. number, and amount of payment written on it. We advise you to make your payments by check, in the event a payment is misplaced or lost; it is much easier to track a check. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE A $25.00 CHARGE FOR ALL RETURNED CHECKS!
