A copy of your Michigan Administrative  Certificate should accompany your application form. If you are a recent graduate and have not received your certificate, you will need to request a letter from your college verifying that you have been recommended to the State Department of Education for certification. If you have questions regarding Michigan administrator  certification, please call the State Department of Education at (517) 373-6505.

Your application letter and resume' will probably be your "first impression" on Mona Shores Public Schools - take time to complete these papers in a manner that represents you well.

Our application process is based on a January 1 - December 31 calendar year. Your application will remain active for a period of one year - you must contact us to remain active beyond this time period.

Changes in personal information (i.e. phone number, name, or address, etc.) should be sent in writing to our Personnel Office.  Additional substantive changes (I.e. work experience, changes in references, and other significant information) occurring after the original application was filed, requires completion of a new application form.

Hiring Procedures:

Whenever a vacancy occurs, positions are posted (both internally within the school system as well as with various colleges and universities). All postings include the title of the position, certification requirements, the location, the application procedures and the deadlines for accepting applications. All application materials (see complete file materials above) must be in our office by the deadline. Only complete files will be considered for a position - it is the applicant's responsibility to make sure all materials are received by the posting deadline.

Applicants files will not be reviewed until after the deadline has passed for accepting applications.

Applicant materials are maintained in a computer data base. A listing of applicants that qualify for a specific position and have a complete file will be pulled for review.
