Daily Announcements

Attention 8th graders: Please check your email for information about joining the Calling All Colors group this year! You may print an application from your email or pick one up in the counseling office. Even if you were in Calling All Colors last year, you will need to submit an application.

 

Sailor nation, get pumped for spirit week! In honor of homecoming next Friday, MSMS will observe the following spirit days next week: 
Monday is matching day, dress as a twin, triplet or as a group. 

Tuesday is Team day, wear your favorite jersey or sports team apparel. 

Wednesday is Character day- dress as your favorite character from the movies, books, tv shows etc. 

Thursday is PJ and hat day 

and Friday is Mona Shores blue and white day- show your Sailor Pride! 

 

Attention artists: Our annual yearbook cover design contest has begun.  Please submit your drawings to the Ms. Hansen in the LMC by Wednesday, October 5th.  NO pencil drawings and NO lined paper submissions please. Color is encouraged! The top two drawings will be chosen to use for the front and back covers.  The winners will get a free yearbook.

 

Attention students who were unable to fit choir in their schedule, or are looking for an extra performance opportunity: Mr. Closz will be offering an After School Choir for interested students. This choir will meet after school Fridays from 2:50-3:50.  Pick up a form in the choir room if you are interested!

 

There are still a few student planners left in the front office.  If you would like to buy one, they are $8.  Just stop into the front office and ask!

 

Are you interested in acting? Singing? Dancing? All THREE? The Mona Shores Middle School Allegrettos will be performing Disney's High School Musical this Spring and we want YOU to perform with us.  There will be an informational meeting Tuesday, September 25th at 3pm in the Middle School Auditorium for those interested. If you cannot attend this meeting, pick up an info. packet from Mr. Closz in the Choir Room any day after Tuesday. We hope to see you there!

 

Your seventh grade volleyball team played awesome last night at home against Zealand Cityside. The scores were 25 to 17 and 25 to 21.   The third set, Zeeland won 15 to 9. Way to go girls!!  The girls play again this Saturday at the Grand Haven invite. Good luck! 

 

The cross country raced to beat Jenison and Fruitport on Wednesday. Scoring for the boys were Abe Freye, Caleb Branch, Gavin Miller, Will Parsekian, and Vaire Vanderwall. Scoring for the girls were Molly Wolf, Ashley Davis, Lily Houle, Ella Kinney, Ava Freye, and Cecilia Conrad. Nice job, runners!
